Expenses Lodgement
An expenses lodgement is required for pupils attending a private school, or state school students under the age of 16. This money is held on trust to provide for items not included in the school or programme fees.

Examples of incurred expenses, which may be charged to the lodgement:

  • Public Liability Insurance
  • (PLI is valid for one academic year or part of and runs from September to July)
  • Air Tickets
  • School uniform
  • (Initial purchase generally charged on school bill for private school students)
  • School Excursions
  • Host family accommodation
  • Transport costs
  • Pocket money
  • Visa extension fees
  • Extra curricular subjects/ activities/ excursions
  • Validation process if required
  • Parents’ school inspection visits (details upon application)
  • Extra Guardianship during Christmas, Easter and Summer holidays
  • Details of this expenditure are submitted at the end of each term with a request to bring the fund back up to its full amount. If funds become low, a request for a supplement will be sent. No major payments will be made without parental permission.

Under no circumstances may the lodgement be overdrawn.
If at any point there are insufficient funds in the expenses lodgement
we reserve the right to withhold our services until funds are made available

    Public Liability Insurance
Public Liability Insurance gives indemnity up to one million pounds against action following accidental damage caused to any other person or their property and we feel that this is so vital that it will be compulsory for all students. Whilst this change is regrettable, we have to be certain that our staff and students are protected against such actions.
