Safety

A guardian is only effective if they have a presence close to the school where a student in their care is studying. Our network of Local Co-ordinators ensures close contact and availability in the case of problems.

All of our head office staff, local co-ordinators, host families and transport drivers are verified as safe people to work with children by the UK's Criminal Records Bureau.

The safety of each and every child is paramount

White House Guardianships also conforms to the guidelines of the Children's Act 1989, whilst also meeting the professional standards of The Association of Educational Guardians for International Students (AEGIS) and The Association of Guardianship Services (TAGS). We are also members of the International Education Forum.

It may surprise you to learn that in the UK there is no legal control over guardianship companies which means that anyone, however bad or unsafe their methods, could operate a guardianship service, with no guarantees. Your safeguard is to only deal with accredited organisations.
